The Bangalore Chamber of Industry and Commerce (BCIC) organized a Conference on Care for Her which focussed on understanding and bringing awareness on the challenges faced by women on the biological and emotional changes throughout her active Career Life, impact of work pressure on her overall wellbeing. 

 Mr. Kishore Alva, President, BCIC said that the Conference is aimed in bringing awareness and making women understand on how taking care of themselves at appropriate and regular intervals will have a long-term positive impact on both their personal and professional life.

He said that today’s women follow a busy schedule managing between work and home by which they undergo a lot of stress impacting their physical and emotional health leading to physiological changes impacting her overall productivity and wellbeing.

 Ms. Lavanya Pachisia, Chairperson, BCIC Expert Committee on Women Empowerment and Leadership said that with a little care at appropriate time would have a long-term positive impact on the women in  INDIVIDUAL – TEAM – ORGANISATION as a whole.

She said that presently there is a need for facilitative and supportive framework of policies as well as a change in the social setting to facilitate a good and supportive working environment for women.

 The discussions revolved around the Themes Understanding Biological Changes in Women and Impact on Productivity and Stress Management for Emotional Wellbeing bringing forth core issues impacting progress of women in the corporate world with the expectation that leads to development of response systems at various levels, starting from self.
