Sherco TVS Rally Factory Team successfully concluded Stage 7 of Dakar Rally with riders Adrien Metge and Lorenzo Santolino finishing at P13 and P15 respectively. Indian rider Harith Noah stood at P33. The 546 km special stage section was dominated by treacherous Sand Dunes with 195 km of Liaison. Unfortunately, Johnny Aubert had a crash closer to the end of the Stage 6 and had to exit the Dakar Rally 2020. He is under complete medical supervision and is responding well to the treatment.
Lorenzo Santolino said: “It was challenging to maintain speed and skill while riding through the dunes. I am glad to have finished the stage on time.”
Adrien Metge said: “Today’s stage was long but I was able to keep up by maintaining consistent speed. The rest day gave me a good time to relook at my strategy, I look forward to the rest of the stages”.
Stage 8 of the Rally will cover mountain landscapes and canyons stretched to the special stage of 477 km with a Liaison of 239 km at Wadi Al-Dawasir.
