At the recently held elections of the Indian Society for Training & Development (ISTD), Mr. P. Srinivasanallaperumal and Dr. A. V. Sivarama Prasad were elected to the National Council Members for the period 2020-2022.

Mr. Srinivasanallaperumal, HR & Operations Professional, with a 30 + years of experience working in a wide arena of industries like Transportation, Logistics, Trading, Manufacturing and currently with a Pharmaceutical Trading Organisation. He was earlier with Sical Logistics, Sicagen India, and currently with Scope Ingredients looking after their Operations, Marketing & HR. He has highly passionate about Learning & Developing the Younger Generation.

Mr. Srinivasanallaperumal has associated with most of the Professional Bodies as a Life Member ISTD, NIPM, Occupational Health & Safety, Public Relations Council of India, Indian Red Cross Society Guild Of Service, Corporate Member of Madras Chamber of Commerce and Industry and also a ‘Free Mason’.

Earlier, Dr. A. V. Sivarama Prasad, President (Strategy), The KCP Ltd., and Director, KCP Technologies Ltd., Chennai, was elected Chairman of ISTD, Chennai Chapter, for 2018-2020.

Dr. Sivarama Prasad holds doctorate in Management from Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, after graduating in Mechanical Engineering from Bangalore University. He has more than one-decade rich experience in consultancy at Tata Consultancy Services and handled various functional areas such as Perspective and Corporate Planning, Technology Management, Project Management, Human Resources Management, Business Process Reengineering and Techno-economic feasibility studies. Prior to this, he was a Lecturer in the Engineering College for a year.

He has experience in various sectors such as Social, Education, Infrastructure, Irrigation, Telecommunications, Information Technology, Engineering, Aviation, Energy, Environment, Forestry, Biotechnology and Dairy. He has been a professional trainer and has conceived and conducted a number of training programmes for variety of organisations and educational institutions. He has attended many national and international conferences and submitted papers. He has published papers in international journals. Prepared a paper on Overview of the Developments in the World @ 2050 which includes all sectors starting from Agriculture to Aviation. This paper mainly focuses on economy, technology, political, environment and defence.

Presently, Dr. Sivarama Prasad is President (Strategy), The KCP Ltd., looking after Business & Strategic Plan, Digital Transformation, Automation, Industry 4.0, Operations & Functions of all Units and Profitability & Growth of the group.

He has received many awards including Lifetime Achievement Award from Genius Consultants Ltd., Kolkata, during 8th Genius HR Excellence Awards 2018 in Chennai on September 19, 2018, Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) of the Year Award from UBS FORUMS in Mumbai on January 18, 2019, 101 HR Super Achievers (India) – HR Leadership Award from World HRD Congress in Mumbai on February 15, 2019, and Most Innovative Leaders (ASEAN) from Asian Pacific HRM Congress in Bangalore on September 17, 2019.

The Indian Society for Training & Development, established in April 1970, is a national level professional and non-profit society registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1860. It has a large membership of individuals and institutions involved in the areas of training and development of Human Resources from Government, Public and Private Sector Organizations and Enterprises; Educational and Training Institutions and other professional bodies. It has 45 Chapters throughout the country and has its national headquarters in New Delhi.

ISTD is affiliated to the International Federation of Training and Development Organizations (IFTDO), Geneva, and Asian Regional Training and Development Organization (ARTDO), Manila.

The Society organizes training programmes all over India, both at Chapter and National levels. The programmes cover selected areas of HRD, with special emphasis on training of trainers, training goals & objectives, and training tools & technologies. A very large number of public and private sector organizations, training Institutions and Central and State Governments participate in these programmes, some of which have been held in collaboration with the Planning Commission, the Bureau of Public Enterprises and the Training Division of the Department of Personnel, Government of India.

ISTD publishes a quarterly journal titled “Indian Journal of Training and Development”. It conducts a Diploma in Training & Development in distance mode for a duration of 18 months (one-year course work followed by internship of six months).
