Danlaw’s MxSuite Embedded Software Test Automation product can now optically recognize over 200 languages and scripts using ABBYY Content Intelligence. ABBYY’s industry-leading optical character recognition (OCR) engine transforms image files into text data used by test cases validating products with electronic displays, such as infotainment systems, heads-up displays (HUDs) and instrument clusters. The solution provides the high accuracy needed to validate images of user expected text, including radio station settings, temperature, and other critical vehicle information.
ABBYY Content Intelligences enhances MxSuite’s existing image processing capabilities by enabling pattern recognition for identifying and locating shapes and other pertinent, object positions in images, including needle position on gauges and color recognition for tell-tales and other status indicators. Integration of the ABBYY solution with MxSuite is easy to integrate and operate. Within MxSuite, simply select the regions of interest on the display and apply the ABBYY OCR function using the built-in language interpretations as needed for verification testing.
“We selected ABBYY because of its industry recognition as a leader in OCR technology across a wide range of industries,” said David Cole, MxSuite Product Manager at Danlaw. “Given the diverse range of challenges that our testing activities span, we feel confident that the ABBYY Content Intelligence solution will keep pace with the changing demands of our customers’ needs.”
“The speed and accuracy for recognizing data and images is critical within automotive and aerospace systems,” commented Bruce Orcutt, SVP of Product Marketing at ABBYY. “MxSuite is a smart way to test data-driven applications from infotainment to cockpit electronics. ABBYY has the only solution with the highest recognition accuracy rates available in over 200 languages, we are happy to work with Danlaw for their mission critical testing.”
