Rtn. J. Sridhar has been made the Governor of Rotary District 3232, which covers 147 clubs in Chennai city. He is a member of the Rotary Club of Madras Industrial City, Chennai, under the classification of “Automobile Parts Manufacturing”. He holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering and Post Graduate Degree in Management.

A qualified automotive cooling system engineering expert, Rtn. Sridhar is the CEO of Magal Engg. Tech Pvt. Ltd., a subsidiary of Magal Engineering Ltd., UK, manufacturing critical powertrain parts and mechanical assemblies for the automobile industry.

A Rotarian since 2000, under his Presidentship in 2006-07, the Club was recognised with the Rotary Action Trophy GOLD for the Overall Performance and was adjudged as No.1 Club in RI Dist 3230 for the highest per capita contribution to The Rotary Foundation.

Rtn. Sridhar has held many positions in the District, as the GSE Selection Committee Member (2009-13), Secretary-PETS held at Bangkok and Singapore (2009 & 2012), Assistant Governor (2009-10), Assistant Governor-Admin (2012-13), Director-International Service (2012-13), District Conference Secretary (2015-16), PETS Chairman, Assistant Governor-Admin and District Membership Chairman (2018-19).

At the Rotary Zonal level, he also served as Assistant Secretary for Rotary Zone Institute, Bangkok (2010-11), Treasurer for the Multi District PETS, Sri Lanka (2015-16), Facilitation Team Member for Training Programs, Rotary Zone Institute, Dubai (2015-16) and co-chair Venue Management Committee for Rotary South Asia Literacy Summit, Chennai (2016-17).

Rtn. Sridhar & Punitha are Level-2 Major Donors and Benefactors to the Rotary Foundation and Paul Harris Society Member with a total contribution in excess of $30,000.

Rtn. Sridhar is actively connected with the Automotive Components Manufacturers Association of India and currently the Zonal Chairman of ACMA for Chennai Area. Also, he is serving as Trustee in Ambur Hindu Educational Society’s College Trust.

An avid traveller, Rtn. Sridhar is married to Punitha, who holds a Post Graduate degree in Business Economics and manages a software firm, Convex Business Solutions in Chennai. They are blessed with two daughters, Vidya, a post graduate in Computer Science Engineering, and Nithya, who is pursuing her Law Hons. Degree.
